Privacy Policy

Playchinko  ·  Effective 2026-05-21  ·  Operated by RowdyDawdy Games

This Privacy Policy describes how RowdyDawdy Games ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you play Playchinko (the "Game") on web (playchinko.vercel.app, itch.io) or on mobile platforms (Google Play, future Apple App Store releases).

We aim to collect only what we need to make the Game work, balance it well, and offer optional features like cross-device save and global leaderboards. You can opt out of analytics in the Game's Settings at any time.

1. Information we collect

Anonymous account identifier

When you first launch the Game, we sign you in to Firebase Authentication with an anonymous account. This produces a randomly generated user ID (UID) that lets us save your progress and identify your entries on leaderboards. The UID is not linked to your name, email, or device identifiers unless you choose to link a Google Account (see "Optional Google Sign-In" below).

Game progress

We save your gameplay state — unlocked levels, stars earned, high scores, coins, equipped cosmetics, daily/weekly streak history, achievements, tutorial progress, and game settings — to local storage on your device and (when the Game is online) to Google Cloud Firestore under your anonymous UID. This lets you continue your save across sessions and devices.

Profile information

You can choose a display name and a pre-made avatar in the Game's Profile menu. These are stored alongside your progress. The display name is visible to other players when you appear on a leaderboard. Please do not use a display name that contains personally identifying information you don't want shared.

Leaderboard submissions

When you complete a round, we submit your display name, chosen avatar, anonymous UID, and score to a leaderboard collection in Firestore. Each campaign level, the daily challenge, and the weekly tournament have their own leaderboards. Other players can see the top entries.

Gameplay analytics

With your consent (the "Share Anonymous Data" toggle in Settings, on by default), we record gameplay events to help us balance star thresholds, tune difficulty, and understand which features are working. Events include:

Each record includes your anonymous Firebase UID. You can disable this collection in the Game's Settings; doing so stops both the Firestore writes and the Firebase Analytics events.

Bug reports

If you tap "Report a Bug" in Settings and submit the form, we save a record to Firestore so we can investigate. Each report contains:

We do not capture screenshots, your IP address, your device model, or any other diagnostic data beyond what is listed above. Submitting a report is voluntary; if you do not tap "Send", nothing is recorded.

Optional Google Sign-In

If you choose to link a Google Account (Settings → Account → Link Google Account), we use the Capgo Social Login plugin to obtain a Google ID token, which is then linked to your Firebase Authentication account. We do not store your Google email, photo, or other profile data ourselves — only the linkage is recorded. Linking enables stronger cross-device save portability.

Advertising identifiers (mobile)

On mobile, the Game uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Google AdMob may collect and process advertising identifiers, IP address, ad-interaction data, and device information. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the AdMob disclosures. We do not receive raw advertising IDs.

Local notifications

On mobile, the Game can schedule local push notifications (daily-bonus reminder, streak-saver) on your device. These are stored and fired on your device only — they are not sent through any external server. You can disable them via the Settings toggle or your operating system's notifications settings.

2. How we use information

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed below, each governed by their own privacy policy:

Public leaderboards expose your display name, avatar, and score to other players. We may also disclose information when required by law.

4. Children's privacy

Playchinko is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

5. Data retention & deletion

Game-progress data persists for as long as your anonymous UID remains active. You can request deletion of all stored data at any time — see our Account Deletion page for the full process, or email us using the address below. On request, we will delete:

Local-storage data on your device can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data. Some aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained where it is no longer attributable to you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us using the email below to exercise these rights. For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, we honor the rights afforded by the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively.

7. Security

We use Google Cloud's infrastructure and Firestore's built-in security rules to protect your data in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to keep risks low and respond promptly to any incident.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Game evolves. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the Game.
