Delete Your Playchinko Account
You can request that we permanently delete your Playchinko account and the data we associate with it at any time. This page explains exactly how to do that, what gets deleted, and what (if anything) we keep.
How to request deletion
Send an email from the address you'd like the request associated with to:
Subject line: "Delete My Playchinko Account"
To help us find your data, please include:
- Your in-game display name (the one shown on leaderboards — visible in Profile → Edit Name).
- Your linked Google account email, if you used Settings → Account → Link Google Account at any point. If you never linked Google, your account is anonymous and the display name above is sufficient.
- The platform you play on (Google Play / Apple App Store / web at playchinko.vercel.app or itch.io).
We respond within 30 days. Most requests are handled the same week. You'll receive a confirmation email when the deletion completes.
What gets deleted
We delete every record we hold that is keyed to your account or anonymous user ID, across all of our backend services:
| Data | Status |
|---|---|
| Cloud save (levels, stars, coins, profile, settings, achievements) | Deleted |
| Leaderboard entries (campaign, daily challenge, weekly tournament) | Deleted |
| Per-round telemetry (analytics_runs) | Deleted |
| Firebase Authentication account (anonymous + any linked Google) | Deleted |
| Firebase Analytics / GA4 events tied to your user ID | Deleted (within 30 days of request) |
| Local game data on your device | Cleared on uninstall — you can also clear app data through your phone's settings or your browser's site-data tools |
| Aggregated, anonymized analytics (counts, percentile distributions) that contain no individual identifiers | Retained — these contain nothing personal and can't be traced back to you |
| Records we are required to keep by law (e.g., basic transaction records for in-app purchases) | Retained for the minimum legally required period, then deleted |
Partial deletion
Most of our records are tied to a single account ID, so deleting your account is the cleanest way to remove your data. If you only want to remove a specific item (for example, a leaderboard entry from a particular week), mention that in your email and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Other ways to manage your data
- Stop sharing analytics anytime — turn off Settings → Game → "Share Anonymous Data" inside Playchinko. This immediately stops new analytics events and stops the per-round telemetry being written to our servers. Existing data is unaffected; request deletion above to remove what already exists.
- Stop notifications — turn off Settings → Game → "Notifications" or revoke the OS-level notification permission. Notifications are scheduled on-device and never reach our servers.
- Reset progress — Settings → More → Reset Progress wipes your local save. (This does not remove your cloud save or leaderboard entries — for that, use the deletion email above.)
